Photographs of Derbyshire

Derbyshire is a county in the East Midlands of England. The southern extremity of the Pennine range of hills extends into the county and these are largely designated as part of the Peak District National Park. The national park includes the northern “Dark Peak”, an area of undeveloped gritstone moorland, and the southern White Peak, an area of rolling limestone hills dotted with villages and farms. South-east of the national park, the county is flatter and more densely populated with industrial towns.
