Wiltshire (“Wilts”) is a county is southwest England bordering Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire. Its 858,931 acres (3476 kmĀ²) include extensive chalk downland, in the form of Salisbury Plain, and parts of Cranborne Chase and the Marlborough Downs. These downs are famous for their ancient archaeology, most notably the Stonehenge and Avebury world heritage site. Several towns nestle in its valleys, notably Bradford-on-Avon, Chippenham, Marlborough, Swindon, Trowbridge and Salisbury, famous for its cathedral. Read more at Wikipedia.
